Objective

  

To provide a supportive and informative environment where teenagers can explore college and career options, develop academic skills, and prepare for their future.

  

- Week 1: Introduction to college and career options

- Week 2: Exploring interests and skills

- Week 3: Researching college majors and career paths

- Week 4: Creating a career roadmap

Weeks 5-8: Academic Skills Development

- Week 5: Time management and organization strategies

- Week 6: Effective study habits and test-taking techniques

- Week 7: Goal-setting and planning

- Week 8: Overcoming academic challenges

Weeks 9-12: College Preparation

- Week 9: Choosing a college major

- Week 10: Standardized tests (SAT, ACT, etc.)

- Week 11: College application process

- Week 12: Financial aid and scholarships

Weeks 13-16: Career Development and Next Steps

- Week 13: Building a professional network

- Week 14: Creating a resume and cover letter

- Week 15: Interview preparation and job search strategies

- Week 16: Final project presentations and program wrap-up

Mission & Vision

  

Mission Statement

The Future Focus Program empowers teens to envision and prepare for brighter futures by providing mentorship, life skills, academic support, and nourishing meals in a safe, encouraging environment. We are committed to helping young people build confidence, discover their strengths, and set meaningful goals for success in school, career, and life.

Vision Statement

We envision a community where every teen feels supported, valued, and equipped with the knowledge, resources, and opportunities to thrive—becoming leaders who positively impact their families, schools, and society.

Program Structure

  

Frequency: Once a week, 1-2 hours per session

Duration: 16 weeks (one academic semester)

Age group: 14-18 years old

Format: Interactive presentations, group discussions, and activities.
